My work explores perceptions of cultural identity, including aspects of ethnic, familial and societal roles, relating to my Mexican and South Texas heritage. The subject matter, portrayed through various manifestations including still life, portraiture, and urban landscapes, are a further reference and investigation into personal narratives as a native Texan with Mexican roots.

I am humbled to have my work selected to be on display at the US Embassy for Hungary in Bucharest as part of the Art-In-Embassies program, sponsored by the US Department of State. I would like to thank the US Ambassador to Romania, Kathleen Kavalec, for inviting me to participate as part of her vision, as well as the curator for the Art-In-Embassies program, Claire D'Alba, for her guidance through the process. Most of all, I would like to thank Mr. Cheech Marin for displaying my work as part of his collection at The Cheech Center for Chicano Art and Culture where Ambassador Kavalec first viewed my work.
